The Hack-A-Tech 2022 is a 3-Day Fintech Hackathon organised by Jewel Digital Ventures in collaboration with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) and 1337 Ventures. We are in search of technical and business experts interested in coming up with innovative and disruptive Fintech ideas to solve key problem statements that could help mass Malaysians.
Through this hackathon, you will learn more about the state of the industry through training workshops and speaker sessions, ideate using the Design Thinking methodology, and hack across a 3-Day weekend to create a solution that addresses one of the listed problem statements.
Jewel Digital Ventures Sdn Bhd (JDV) is an investment vehicle set up by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) to spearhead its digital business strategy, continuously find new opportunities to disrupt its business with the aim to unlock digital value propositions and create growth through innovation.
JDV is looking at venture investment and venture building in local and regional Fintech startups. JDV’s mandate is to ideate, incubate, launch and operate innovative product offerings in the FinTech space with a focus on democratising wealth creation for all Malaysians.

Open to Developers, Product designers, first-time Hackathon joiners, Students, and University / innovation labs to reimagine new functionalities, features and product offerings.
All Malaysians and non-Malaysians who are currently residing in Malaysia with a valid employment pass, student pass or residence pass are eligible to participate.
Open to Startups and Technopreneurs interested in the integration and co-creation of new products and services.
All Malaysian and international startups with a valid Company Registration number are eligible to participate. Startups can send a single representative or a team of 2-3 representatives. For Advanced Track, 1 representative must have a technical background.
You're required to build an innovative solution solving one of the key problem statements listed above. The key deliverables required for each track are listed below.
Open Track: Participants will be required to submit a Presentation deck and Mock Up at the end of the 3-Day Hackathon
Advanced Track: Participants will be required to submit a Proof-of-Concept and/or Working Prototype at the end of the 3-Day Hackathon
